I got this one as a present - nudge, nudge, wink, wink - and yes, it helps me to get my exercise done. The Omron pedometer is fairly accurate in distance and it records for me what I have achieved. The feedback about the calories I have burned is like a pat on my shoulder and it motivates me to finaly loose the extra pounds. And the walking already got my slightly raised blood-pressure down to normal. A very recommendable device for anyone trying to get off the diet-jojo.
