I've had my Omron for 2 years and never had a problem with it.
Pros:
* keeps track of the last 7 days
* shows calories
* shows miles
* shows regular steps and aerobic steps
* the clip keeps it stable on my waist
* easy to replace battery - anywhere they do watch batteries
* very resilient
Cons:
* it does fall off if you do a lot of bending but the clip really helps with that.
* somewhat detailed set-up process involving stride, but the instructions are fairly clear & helpful.
I calculated mine to be within 2-5% error. Usually 1-2% but if I jog or jump around it can go up to 5% error, which is not too bad. The battery had to be replaced I think once a year. Also, this thing has been dropped, squashed under a couch, stepped on, and worn in the rain with no problems.Get more detail about Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer.
