This pedometer went through a full wash/dry cycle, and still works fine. I just took it apart, took the battery out, let the pedometer dry, put the battery back in, and it's working fine. I've dropped it on the floor countless times, too. VERY sturdy. Keeps very good step count on the waist, not so good in a bag.
