Cheap Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer

This is my second pedometer. The first one (which I still own, but the battery died and it went into a drawer where it still resides) was one purchased from Weight Watchers. It worked OK, but had this VERY annoying little "clicking" noise every time I moved - highly annoying to those of us who don't tolerate repetitive noises well!

I did, however, want to resume tracking my daily steps so set about reading reviews, both on this site and others. Well, I decided to purchase the Omron HJ-112 and I am VERY glad I did!

I've had it since February and it is on my waistband or in my pocket from the time I get dressed in the morning to the time I hit the hay at night. It is totally NOISELESS and I find it not only accurate, but also motivating - it truly makes me WANT to get up and move around more just to see the numbers go UP! I like that it can be set via one easy button to show mileage, steps, aerobic steps or calories - and that it stores all that data for 7 days.

My honey's birthday is in July and he has already said HE wants one also! It will make a great gift for him - he hikes a lot and this way he can track his mileage.

I highly recommend it.
