I have tried several pedometers that were cheap and they acted cheap. They had to have a direct like to your foot, which is more difficult then it sounds. If you are wearing a coat forget about it counting a thing. This one you throw in your pocket and go. it also tells you all sorts of useful things and lets you adjust your stride length. I highly recomend this product. Oh you can put it in your purse too....then you'll never forget to strap it on.
