Having bought a couple of cheaper models, they all broke easy and they tended to click as I walked around the office. The Omron model really can be placed in your pocket regardless of position and it still accurately counts your steps. I lost it outside in the yard and after 3 weeks of rain and ice, brought it in and it still works perfectly. Stop wasting money on the other pedometer;s. This is one a no brainer.
