This was a gift for my daughter. I have another brand pedometer that I bought from a runner's magazine. Mine is not very accurate--different distances for same route. It cost the same if not a little more than the Omron. I read about the Omron in Health and Consumer's where it got very good reviews. My daughter loves it. Once programmed, it gives accurate information, and not only gives you distances, it gives you intensity too. She likes it so much I'm getting one for myself.
